Luc Bourassa

Luc Bourassa died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and favourite music on Saturday, September 19th, 2020, at the age of 71. Born February 16, 1949 in Montreal. Luc grew up, one of four children (Michel, Francine and his twin sister Christiane) in the east end of Montreal.

In his youth, Luc flourished into a gifted baseball player whilst cultivating his love of music. He also was an adamant nature lover who had a great love for fishing. After numerous adventurous vocations one being, serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Lieutenant; Luc embarked upon a career in Medicine. He worked at many hospitals  throughout the province before he took his position as the Assistant Chief Respiratory Therapist at the Jewish General Hospital, where he was revered for incredible humour, love of life and work ethic.

Loving Husband to Chleo-Rhoda Mackay, who has been by his side with unconditional love, patience, devotion and strength through all of the adversity Luc faced in his life.

Proud father of 3 daughters Nathalie, Catherine (Thomas), Isabelle (Ronen) and stepson Jessett (Judy).  Luc was the life and soul of any party; resident DJ, Barman, Stand-up Comedian and Card shark. Luc’s charisma and magnetism was such, that people only had to meet him once to ignite a friendship. His generosity and honesty with everyone, created long lasting memories throughout his life.

Loving Grandfather to (Shanel, Antonio, Noahm, Yonathan, Ella and Remi), his love for them transcending his life in the recordings he made for them, before passing away.

We will all miss your counsel, music, love of life, and pretend loathing of the Montreal Canadians; we all knew you didn’t really support the Boston Bruins.

Sleep well Luc, we carry you in our hearts and look forward to your visits on the wings of a bird.
